The JC Williams Scholarship (College of Arts and Sciences)

Recipient shall be qualified, deserving, enrolled at the University of Memphis, and:
1. Have a declared major in Chemistry (32 credit hrs for a BS or 41 credit hrs for BSCH degree in Chemistry).
2. Completed at least 16 hrs of chemistry course work towards either degree.
3. Have a 3.2 cum GPA.
4. Enroll in 3 or more credit hrs of chemistry in each of the semester(s) supported by the scholarship.

Continuation on scholarship for second semester is contingent upon completion of all chemistry courses with a min. B- during first semester. Continuing students may receive the scholarship under the above guidelines, including a min. B average, but they must have completed 26 hrs of chemistry towards his/her degree. Under special circumstances, outstanding freshman and sophomore chemistry majors may be considered.
