2. Majoring in a program in the Department of Journalism and Strategic Media (and its legacy names)
3. Who exemplifies strength of character and ability in their academic pursuits.
4. Award is not renewable, but students can win multiple times
5. Requires a minimum 2.5 GPA
6. Preference will be given to a student from a population that is underrepresented in the media industries
7. Students may show qualification though involvement in on campus organizations and media, local organizations, or internships and work experience
