University of Memphis Association of Retirees Graduate Scholarship (Alumni Association)
The recipient of the Scholarship shall:
1. Be an enrolled graduate student at the University of Memphis with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
2. Describe in 200 words or less his/her exceptional accomplishments in coursework, research, and/or service that contribute to the linkage that advances knowledge and service with respect to community.
3. Provide a letter of recommendation of approximately 250 words by a person (UofM Faculty/Staff or another professional) describing through examples the candidate’s educational effect on and/or benefit to a group in a community setting with whom the applicant has partnered/participated.
Preference is given to First-Generation students with financial need as determined by FAFSA and/or dependent of current or past UofM employees. Applicants with distinct backgrounds and experiences, including hardships, will receive special consideration for the scholarship.

Ensure you include involvement with on and off campus organizations which have helped your personal and professional growth.
