David A Collins-Omicron Delta Kappa Scholarship (Student Academic Success)

1. Must plan to enroll in graduate/professional school at the University of Memphis in the Fall semester immediately following graduation with a baccalaureate degree.
2. Active voting member of the University of Memphis Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa in the year in which application for the scholarship is made.
3. Demonstrated exceptional leadership at the University of Memphis.
4. Must expect to receive a baccalaureate degree from the University of Memphis during the school year he/she receives the Scholarship.
5. Financial need shall not be a primary factor.
6. Submit a resume that portrays leadership, service and scholarship on campus and/or in the community
7. Submit an essay of not more than 500 words that:
a. States why an application is being made to obtain the David A. Collins Omicron Delta Kappa Scholarship
b. Explains why the applicant is undertaking post-baccalaureate study in his/her particular field
c. Describes the applicant’s commitment to continued leadership
8. Acceptance of the scholarship imposes an obligation to begin and complete the year of graduate/professional study.
9. Full-time enrollment (9 hours Graduate level).
10. Acceptance of the scholarship will include serving as a student advisor/mentor to the Omicron Delta Kappa Circle (approximately 20 hours a semester).
