FedEx Purple Runway Aviation Scholarship (College of Professional & Liberal Studies)

This is a non-renewable, $10,000 scholarship per student for the Academic Year. The scholarship committee will select the best-qualified candidates from a highly competitive pool of applicants. Successful scholarship candidates are:

1. Selected on the basis of academic achievement
2. Personal strengths
3. Leadership
4. Financial need

To be considered for the scholarship, it is recommended that applicants meet the following eligibility requirements:
1. Must hold a FAA Private Pilot’s license, or greater
2. Written personal recommendation from a current University faculty member
3. Minimum GPA 2.5
4. Be a US citizen or permanent resident/resident alien
5. Financial need
6. Community service, extra-curricular activities may also be considered
7. Candidates will be selected by the aviation faculty at the University of Memphis
