Memphis Advantage Scholarship
The University of Memphis Advantage Scholarship is designed to facilitate access to college and degree completion for Tennessee students who are eligible to receive Pell grants as indicated by the FAFSA, students who are the first in their immediate family to earn a baccalaureate degree (4-year degree), or students from specific rural counties in Tennessee listed below.
The scholarship is competitive based on academic achievement and it is awarded to a limited number of students who have filed the FAFSA by March 1.
The Memphis Advantage Scholarship is a $4,000 per year award. A student must be a graduating high school senior, a Tennessee resident, have a minimum 20 ACT/1030 SAT and a 3.0 or higher cumulative high school grade point average. Completion of all financial aid documents are required for students selected to receive this scholarship.
- West Tennessee counties: Benton, Carroll, Chester, Crockett, Decatur, Dyer, Fayette, Gibson, Hardeman, Hardin, Haywood, Henderson, Henry, Lake, Lauderdale, Madison, McNairy, Obion, Perry, Tipton or Weakly.
- Middle or East Tennessee counties: Bledsoe, Campbell, Carter, Claiborne, Clay, Cocke, Fentress, Greene, Grundy, Hancock, Jackson, Johnson, Macon, Meigs, Morgan, Pickett, Rhea, Scott, Sequatchie, Union, or Warren.
