Dr. Elizabeth K. Perryman Honors Scholarship (Helen Hardin Honors Program)

1. A student enrolled full-time in Helen Hardin Honors College (minimum 12 credit hours)
2. A Sophomore, Junior, or Senior
3. Majoring in Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Earth Sciences or Biomedical Engineering
4. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25
5. Must have demonstrated valuable service to the community or university, preferably in gender equality, climate change projects, or biomedical projects
6. Applicants must provide two recommendation letters from faculty members of their major department
7. Applicants must provide a current copy of their transcript from the Registrar?s Office
8. Applicants must provide a completed application with detailed essay about needs, qualifications and plans for this special scholarship
9. Importantly, the scholarship funds may be used for one of these three reasons:
A. Enrollment in Honors College for an academic year at U of M
OR
B. Enrollment for an academic year, a semester or a summer (min. 10 weeks) at an approved overseas international university/institute or an internship at an overseas company directly related to the applicant?s major
OR
C. Enrollment for a semester or summer (min. 10 weeks) in a U of M faculty-lead international program. For this time period, the U of M course must be conducted overseas & be directly related to the applicant???s major
