Elizabeth K. Perryman Scholarship (College of Arts and Sciences)

Award shall be given to:

1. Student with full-time status (min 12 credit hrs)
2. An undergraduate majoring in Biology, with preference given to a student with interest in cell and molecular biology, microbiology or health sciences
3. Sophomore, Junior or Senior classification
4. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
5. Must have demonstrated valuable service to the community or university, preferably for women’s equity
6. Preference may be given to an applicant who is first-generation university educated or has a disadvantaged background
7. Applicants must provide a completed application with essay
8. Applicants must provide two recommendations letters from faculty in the Department of Biological Sciences or another science department at the University of Memphis or at another college or
university, in the case of a transfer student. One letter may be from an employer for students who have science-related work experience.
9. Applicants must provide their undergraduate transcripts.
